August is typically a fairly quiet time for the property market, due to the kids being off school and everyone heading off for their annual holiday.  However, this doesn’t mean that the market is dead – in fact it’s a great time to get out and about viewing properties – get in there first whilst everyone else is away!  If you personally are somewhat tied up due to the holiday season but are considering a move or relocation, instructing a search agent to work on your behalf is a great way to ensure that you are kept abreast of all suitable properties as they come to market – without having to trawl the agents, internet, etc yourself.  An agent will also view the properties on your behalf and we will only insist you view if the property is a must-see.

As has consistently been the case in this uncertain market, being procedable is the key.  You must be ready to move, with your finances in place and your experts (solicitor, surveyor, etc) on stand-by.
